Hi Buster Presumably they are, as far as I know they just hate each other and aren't actively engaged in warlike behavior. I must admit I thought it odd (but what do I know), they were probably off to Kerala (God's own country :-)) for the weekend like lots of the rich people around here. (FYI 5.5 hours ahead so asleep when you posted) Have fun & don't eat too much honey Terry

I don't really log regs like a lot of you do, but I guess I 'logged' two aircraft that I heard for the first time on my home radio yesterday - the two VC-25s - 82-8000 calling as SAM44 and 92-9000 calling as "Air Force One".

Basically from 1800z today until midnight on the 27th it is going to snow lightly, then snow and then snow heavily with freezing fog! 30 hours of snow, no wonder they estimate around 3ft will fall! Can you imagine how disruptive that would be in England!

We have a dear pal who lives in the suburbs of Oslo, he regularly sends us shots from his apartment window of cars buried beneath the snow yet life goes on, trains, buses, trams, airports, all shrug it off and it's business as usual

Set off for a business meeting in Southampton, got as far as Bullington Cross on the A303 when my customer rang to cancel so as I was half way there, had a quick look in a very quiet Blackbushe and then 30 mins on the A4 at Colnbrook logging LHR departures.
Made EIGHT at LHR including a couple of overflights

I see that registration is still disabled, looks like he wants to keep the 550 members he's got and bring no new people in. I wonder how the 1,500 he's booted out feel?

Interesting! I'm trying to see if I can copy some of my old work!! Photos are a very slow job!

You should be able to right click on your photos zz, select " view image info" and then highlight and copy the details into your own photo folders. I did that with a load of Peter Brown's old Blackbushe shots.

Managed to quickly copy several of my logs from the old site. Still can't find a quick way of copying photos straight to this site- I have them all in photobucket so nothing is lost!,
I recommend anyone takes the opportunity to copy anything they want!

I just did that with one of Bobby's LHR shots and I was able to save his photo to my own photo folder.

I see a telling comment from the Forum owner that the "Pictures of the past" thread will not return.

Well then, it just shows what a misguided person he is. Why would any so called "forum owner" decide to discard what was the best part of his little world? I see yesterday that he has a new "we're watching you" avatar - what planet does he live on, something like that just breeds discontent and suspicion for the members. As I told him on his Farnborough Facebook page before I left it, "I hope you're happy with what you've done by upsetting so many people".

When I vacated the site 2 years-ish ago, it was pretty obvious his marbles didn't line up, and certainly did line up in a similar way to mine, so I left and stayed away. As long as some of you keep going back for a look he will play you along. If you are going to lose a foot, chop it off at the ankle & live with it. Don't cut off half a toe at a time and prolong the agony. Have fun, with or without those pinkies Terry

Met Office hedging their bets, only a 30% chance of snow/snow grains from 21:00 tomorrow until 12:00 on Friday for our region.

The rain here in Hampshire was awful for a few hours just before lunch,I thought I'm not going to see anything today then mid afternoon it cleared up allowing me to log a Falcon 900 N7600P high level heading west but not trailing.
