Broken cloud most of the day, but most of the interesting stuff was well hidden behind the cloud, just made G-PRPC DHC8-400 inbound Stansted from Newquay. But evening departures from LHR were more productive, D-AIUR A320 and A7-BEI 773 went overhead and also managed to see HL7628 A380 as it climbed away. A6-ENS 773 on the EK32 also went overhead but not needed (seen on the EK205 MXP-JFK before it upgraded to A380).

Had a good day today, met up with Jeff, Bill and Dave Basing at Blackbushe, spent a couple of hours there with a few decent OTTs and one pot on the deck, then to FAB for 15 minutes, and then to Fairoaks for about an hour and a half. Looks like I've made about 25 but need to sort the log all out. Will post the logs tomorrow and hopefully some half decent photos. Did make USAF GULF5 99-0404 over Devizes International before leaving for Blackbushe

Sorry I couldn't make it to Fairoaks today. Made just a couple before it clouded over and the rain set in, SP-KCK and M-ICRO C.525s inbound LTN or STN. A couple of needed frames due out of LHR this evening, HL7621 A380 and A7-BCZ 788, but visibility will need to improve dramatically if I am able to see them.

Hi Jerry, yes, shame you couldn't make it, hopefully next time.

As expected, could not pick out HL7621 through the gloom. But skies cleared enough for me to make A7-BCZ which just went overhead clearly visible, and a bonus G-EZOP gap filler inbound LTN from Bordeaux, just need G-EZOV until more are delivered, think this is based outside the UK.

If only the clear skies of the mornings would remain until afternoon!

Another French ATC strike today and the regular stream of stuff that doesn't normally head this way has started. Nothing in the book yet but it's a beautiful day, clear blue, so hoping for a few.

Nothing for me since early morning until a few minutes ago when HL7619 A380 was silhouetted against a fine orange sunset, 5 down, 9 to go! Don't need today's Emirates 773 A6-ENM.
Garuda have moved from LGW to LHR with an evening slot GA86/87, today's 773 is PK-GIF due out at 21.10, depending on routing may go overhead but if not strobes should be visible as it turns north. Only have 1 (PK-GIG) as my trips to LGW were very infrequent. I have in fact been to Jakarta (an hour in the transit lounge en route to and from Bali) but many years ago, in those days Garuda operated 747-200s, DC-10s and Fokker 28s!

Likewise for me Dave just got TC-JVK 737-8 inbound Dublin which took me to 80 for March- 203 for the year which is good seeing I have not been anywhere apart from 3 hours at Manchester last Saturday. Anyway all starts next month when a bit of hopefully real copping will start. Trips planned for April, May, June, July, August and September then it will be back to footie and airways only. Better than cops though Ticket for the Semi's at Wembley in the bag- driving down- so LAP or Luton may well be visited depending where I park. April's nearly here Bob Hi Bob. Not sure if you have used this site for parking in and around Wembley, but I found it very useful on the 2 occasions I went, got nice and close and a lot cheaper than the onsite parking. www.justpark.com/Attachments:
