Thanks John.
It's one that I've not seen so far- I'm taking the kids tomorrow and was hoping it would still be there.
Cheers

Thanks Jeff- thanks for all the updates too. Yes I think it's a shame the interesting stuff doesn't stick around too Gary, but I guess the public don't really know or care. It's vey much 2 different shows these days. Enthusiasts know you need to go between Monday and Wednesday, or see the stuff arrive- the public are probably happy with the traditional airshow acts at the weekend. Unfortunately I missed one or two this year, including the KC.390 if it has gone. This has been a gripe of mine for many years now. Probably since the 1990s. I got in for £5 less on Wednesday (and got thundered & lightninged on for my trouble - thank heavens for that B747 to stand under!!) You may well be right about 'Joe Public' not caring about the content at the weekend. However it does seem strange that Boeing did their usual trick of disappearing very early in their centenary year with only the 727 & military Poseidon now left. We are told that Boeing's actual anniversary day is today, you'd have thought they would have kept it all at FAB to show off on the big day itself. Imagine the sight of the latest B787 and the B727 representing their early models flying together.

Yes Boeing are one of the worse "offenders" and you're right, you'd think this year they might hang about a bit longer!
The usual reason given is that a week is a long time to be taken out of flight testing or airline service...etc. I understand it- I just think it's a shame!

Well, the commentator today said the the flypast from the reds and the A350 was airbuses birthday Present to Boeing !!! Which i found quite funny :-) lol Oh for a 747 to hide under!! I had to brave it out on the display Line with no protection, as soon as the lightening bolt hit i moved a safe distance from the metal fence rather rapidly !

Evening Guys,
Wow.... What a week!!! Been working at FIA with the boys all week and thank goodness it's finally over.... What with the torrential rain on Monday and the not quiet as bad, but equally soaking, rain on Wednesday, we've had an interesting week, to say the least.
I didn't write a full list everyday but I'll hopefully get my logs completed over the weekend and will post then shortly.
If anyone is going to FIA16 over this coming weekend, good luck with the weather... It's been abysmal on occasions this week and that's probably why I'm having a few mixed feelings about The show.
If I had any highlights they were probably the F-35, Hornet, Grippen and the Typhoon displays but, the Lockheed 12, which flew today sounded, as well as looked, absolutely fantastic.
Cheers lads.
Have a great weekend.
Bill
