We are delighted to confirm that the F-35 Heritage Flight Team will take part in the flying display at the Air Tattoo this July as part of our international celebration to mark 100 years of the Royal Air Force.
This special 'then and now' formation of a veteran warbird; the American P-51D Mustang, teaming up with the U.S. Air Force's latest fifth-generation fighter, the Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II, will be a treat for photographers and spectators a like.
The Heritage Flight display will involve a P-51D flown by an USAF Heritage Flight Foundation pilot, more details of both will be confirmed closer to the show. The F-35A pilot is Captain Andrew 'Dojo' Olson, based at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.
The USAF Heritage Flight programme was established over 20 years ago to bring together civilian-owned warbirds and modern military aircraft. The Air Tattoo will be the only Heritage Flight performance in the UK this year and only one of two displays outside of North America.

Self confirmation from the Royal Danish Air Force:
F-16 in the flying (I'd imagine a twin seat will join the static) and a C-130J on static.

Perhaps a RAF update on April 1st is likely?
Maybe the Red Bulls Sycamore and Bo.105 will do RIAT. They are appearing a week earlier at Yeovilton, whilst Duxford appear to have the Alphajets, P.38, F.4U and B.25.

Apparently it was supposed to be a FRIAT-only secret initially, but as the cat is out the bag on FC, UKAR and Facebook groups apparently, I don’t suppose it matters if it’s posted here...!
French Navy Rafale pair role demo for Fairford.
Pleased with this, as am unlikely to go to Yeovilton Air Day and they were the main thing I was disappointed about missing!

A Bonanza of flying and static aircraft have confirmed this week! The RAF confirms the full BBMF fleet; Lancaster, Spitfire, Hurricane and Dakota, plus the Red Arrows, Typhoon Display Team and the Grob Tutor display! Two helicopters added to the static display; a CH-146 Griffon from the Royal Canadian Air Force and a Civilian Westland Whirlwind. Civilian static additions include the first visit of a KC-390 tanker/transport from Embraer, Jet Provost Mk.5, and RAF Flying Club's Association Tecnam trainers
and that’s as well as confirming the Rafale pair.

As some of us now know each other quite well from the great Middle Wallop and Lyneham visits, would it make sense to agree a meeting point at RIAT for those who attending on the same day? I have just booked for Friday for the promised mass flypast.

I have just booked for Friday for the promised mass flypast. Hi Phil not sure which day I’m going yet. I would also like to go Friday for the flypast, but that means me being able to get the day off work. If not I get a free ticket for the Sunday, so that’s the alternative. But if I do go Friday, Ill let you know and can meet at some point, somewhere. Plus anyone else who goes that day obviously. cheers Phil
