Thursday 2nd August 2018
Spent the morning at Lakenheath and managed to see 11 flying out of the 14 "AV" F-16s (though I dropped one) and the two remaining Saudi F-15SAs - which was the whole point of our stay. The afternoon at Mildenhall provided a very pleasant surprise.

I thought you might stay the extra day for the Marham arrivals Bob!

No way, Keith.
(A) We've got to be back by tea-time - commitments, and (B) Can't be bothered. They will be around for ages and, you never know, I might even see them from home.
Cheers,
Bob

Thanks Bob. I was wondering if I might see them in our neck of the woods.
When the first 4 came over I saw both tankers heading up TR1 to BZZ but never caught site of the chicks - I seem to recall there was a bit of cloud around.
If they do pass over Wiltshire - and I think we can expect blue skies tomorrow - any idea of what height they might be at and will they be ahead of the tankers after the final fuelling? Many thanks
Regards Keith

No idea of height. They were trailing over Ilminster last time at FL270 and must have been just in front of the tankers.
However, that doesn't mean they will do the same this time!!
Cheers,
Bob

Thanks Bob - I'll keep an eye out tomorrow evening though I appreciate they may take a slightly different route and we'll miss them.
