Looking at my logs, the only things I did in June 1981 were Fleetlands Open Day (plus Lee-on-Solent) on 13th and Greenham Common on 28th.

Morning Chris,
1981 was one of my least spotting years, mainly because I joined Northwest in Monday April 13th...
However, on the 14th (Sunday, at home, Walderslade, Kent) I logged, and can still recall the incident, Spencer Flack’s G-FIRE Spitfire, and G-FURY Sea Fury plus I think a third (but didn’t log it) flew right across the house, all wearing their bright red Scheme, heading West... None of my neighbours got excited, Unlike me...
The next entry was the 16th when I had a meeting at RAF Bentwaters. Only logged three USAF A-10’s (79-125, 79-213, 79-218). I had a pass to get on most bases in those days so I had to be careful and not draw attention to myself...
Following week, Friday 26th, I flew on my first DC-8-63 EC-BQS Aviaco from LGW to PMI... Can remember that being so bloody long with no bulkheads...
Great memory jog....
Cheers.
Bill
