It is open daily. (Times may vary). No booking is required. All seating is on a first come basis.
General public can access our grass viewing/picnic area. Please respect social distancing when on site.
One toilet facility is currently available at the Control Tower and there are customer toilets including disabled within Sopwith Bar & Grill.
Airside Access
We will only be allowing airside access to pilots or operational staff directly involved with aircraft and flights.
Please note there is strictly no admittance to the Tower Reception, Fuel/RFFS Annex or Tower. If you require assistance, please telephone 0161 789 1362 and choose ‘Operation - Option 2’. Please note we may be unable to answer the phone immediately during our opening periods due to reduced staffing and increased workload so please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can.
I have put this on the site as I saw a report on another website where the writer got very upset about not being able to go onto the tower or get air side as he was a member of the Friends of Barton Aerodrome- had he read the above he would have known the reasons for his on-line gripe, and why his request was refused.
Happy days
Bob
