Hi Tarnish - clearly a labour of love, well done. Just a couple of up-dates. 68-10336 did visit at least once as a U2R. It arrived at Mildenhall on 25 August 1976 (I was there that day) and stayed for about a month. 68-10338 also arrived at the Hall on 7 June 1977 and stayed until 14 October when it left for the States returning to the Hall again on 2 September 78 and again on 30 March 79 staying for several months. 10339 was at the Hall from 3 June 78 to 26 July. 10340 also managed an appearance at the Hall arriving on 11 December 78 and leaving two days later.
80-1082 was written off at Al Dhafra near Abu Dhabi on 22 June 2005, while 1099 was somehow quite badly damaged while on maintenance at Palmdale in 2008, where it lingered until sent to Warner Robbins in 2012 for possible re-build.
In the early/mid 70s we had a few visits by U2Rs to the Hall by aircraft always carrying the fictitious serial 68-10345. Around that time we had visits by RC135s and the odd SR71 also with fake serials (I photographed non-existent RC135 64-14850 at Mildenhall in 1976 but the painter had forgotten to change the real last two on the nose!), something that happened on Orions for a time as well before they went through a phase of carrying nothing except in the nose wheel bay. Didn't fool anyone but was very annoying!
