Very nice Bob. Looking at the cars too, the arse end of a Mk2 Cortina far left, a green Maxi (?), is that a white Triumph Stag estate?, brown Mk2 Cortina with the vinyl roof, dark brown one, is that an Escort or an HB Viva?, white HC Viva, Austin 1100 and an A30 van? Looks like some nice ones in the far row too, possibly a Ford Consul? I stand to be corrected naturally...;0)

bl...y hell, I was there this morning nothing on the arrivals... Slightly delayed Dave by about 40 odd years Bob Must have been the French atc strike, but what a picture it would have made coming round by the fire-station, I bet the nose abatement file was bulging as well...

Fair play chaps, my car recognition isn't guaranteed by any means! Having said that, the Husky didn't possess those wide arches over the rear wheels as far as I recall.

I Was also at Luton around this time managed to get a picture of G-BAAA at a slightly different angle. Was driving an Austin 1100 at the time, not sure if this was in the car park at the time. Great and interesting days.

Hi Guys,
Hate to burst a bubble or two but I'd say the green vehicle on the right of the shot (is that the one in question?) is a Morris Traveller estate... My dad had one when I was a kid....
Cheers.
Bill
EDIT: The first car on the left is a Mk 1 Cortina... I once had a Lotus variety (1966 vintage) which went like a scalded cat on a slippery roof..... And growled like one too....

Some were but others were just framed... But the one in the shot is the van with windows... Not sure what they called that version but it went on for ever.... Or it seemed that way....
EDIT... Is it the A35....

Hi. I think the green one is an Austin A35. Great memories of the Court Tristar. I flew to the Paris Air Show in 1973 on this example from Luton and returned on G-BAAB which was in a pink colour scheme. Was 14 years old then, living in Barnes (10 miles out from Heathrow). Caught a Green Line bus up to Luton the afternoon before the flight and slept in the terminal overnight. 1973 was the year that the Tu 144 crashed at Paris and our visit was a couple of days before that happened. From memory, the weather was much the same as we have now and remember getting back on the Tristar soaking wet !
