hi, I did a check on g-info and it says it was withdrawn 3/6/69 and broken up at Baginton...so i'm doubtful over it. But I have a memory of a Provost red f/lage, black fin but I don't know where from?
regards, dave...

This is a total shot in the dark, but I see you have G-APWG and G-APWJ Heralds. If G-AWPI was broken up before this time, could your "G-AWPI" actually be G-APWI, another Herald?

G-AWPI appears in the 1969 CAM but not in the 1970 edition

I was at Blackpool Airshow and my log has a few additions, many of which were resident. I didn't log anything like G-AWPI, it wasn't G-APWI which was cancelled to China in 1968 G-AXCG was a Jodel D117 not a Beech A23-24 c/n MA-352 (which is G-AXCJ) G-AXCG was present I doubt that the Bulldog's G-AZEO & AZWJ were present, G-AZEO was delivered to the Swedish AF & cancelled 20.11.71 G-AZWJ was not regd until 8.6.72 and was at Liverpool for work prior to delivery 2.9.72 & cancelled to Swedish AF 9.72 XT117 Sioux AH.1 AAC- G-AHKX Anson 19 srs 2 1333 Kemps Aerial Surveys G-APTY Beech G35 Bonanza D-4781 G-ARCK Cessna 175A 56745 G-ARFH PA24-250 Comanche 24-2240 G-ARGG DHC.1 Chipmunk 22 C1/0247 G-ARKT PA22-108 Colt 22-8448 G-ARUJ Piaggio P166 376 stored /WFU G-ASIZ Beech A35 Bonanza D-161 G-ATOO PA28-140 28-21668 G-AVGJ Jodel DR1050 265 G-AVIR Cessna F172H F17200423 G-AWDA Nipper T66 srs 3 S.117/1624 G-AWWW Cessna 401 401-0294 G-AWXW PA23-250D Aztec 27-4096 G-AXBY Cessna 401A 401A-0032 G-AXCG Jodel D117 510 G-AXFN Jodel D119 980 G-AXMP PA28-180D 28-5436 G-AXUX Beech B95 Travel Air TD-417 G-AYEH Jodel DR1050 455 G-AYIB Cessna 182N 18260366 G-AYLN Grumman AA-1 Yankee 0443 G-AZIX Grumman AA-1A Trainer AA1A-0302 G-AZLK Cessna F150L F15000743 G-AZMJ Grumman AA-5 Traveler AA5-0019 G-AZNO Cessna 182P 18261005

hi, I think I've sorted the G-AWPI?, just checked my well worn note-book and using a magnifying glass I now make it G-AWPV a F.172H based in the I.O.M. A pity about the 2 Bulldogs I did not write types down but the reg. was positive written, more investigation needed, Graham were all your extra's out on the field or some in hangar's?
thanks for your update, regards,
dave...

Certainly some would have been hangars, the Cessna twins and singles were probably in Westairs, ARGG Chipmunk and many others were probably in the ANT hangars, my logs do not say. The Nipper G-AWDA was not resident then, so was on the field. The Anson was in a hangar, possibly BIA. G-AWPV IN 1972 was a resident. The Sioux XT117 was part of the show.
