I remember driving up to the base very early in the morning. This was, along with Upper Heyford in 1971, my only two USAF base trips. All I actually remember of the day are the rows of F-4s which should please ZZ! Any corrections gratefully received.

Very nice indeed! (I'll just annoy you by saying I was 9 months old at the time of this show...)
I was lucky enough to do a few visits to Alconbury in the 80s so saw a few of the F4s and F5s. Trying hard to remember if i went to an open day there in the early 80s, but I'm going to have to look it up!
