Well, whether Jeff's post about Saudi F-15s came true or not, I decided to take a risk and come up here for a few nights as I needed the already present P-8A plus the KC-10 that was due to come over as "BLUE52".
I haven't bothered to record the based stuff, so here are the visitors.
Mildenhall 92-3291 C-17A 155AS/Tennessee ANG..........."Memphis" tail band 163918 E-6B VQ-4....................................reported on MSF as 164406 (which I don't need), but it has "918" on NWD (=163918 which I do need) 75-0558/OK E-3G 552ACW 62-4134/OF RC-135W 55WG 168437 P-8A VP-5 87-0123 KC-10A 60AMW........"BLUE52"............"Travis" tail band........... accompanied "RETRO98/99".
Finding the E-6B in was a complete surprise, but its serial has not yet been confirmed. It will be around for a few days, as will the P-8.....EDIT:- Confirmed as 163918.
Having missed out on no less than three needed KC-10s last Sunday, I was well pleased to make this one.
Lakenheath Not very interesting. F-15C 86-0154/LN and F-15E 91-0318/LN arrived back from rework via their unscheduled stop at Barnes ANGB, MA.
There is still one outstanding transatlantic NOTAM - now for tomorrow - so let's hope it produces something interesting!!

Wednesday 21st March 2018
A really inspiring day.......not!!
About the only decent thing was a much needed "RCH610" C-17A 07-7177 trailed Westbound routing NAVPI (at 09.51) > MAM (at 10.02) > the SW.
Mildenhall Arrivals 07.02z "RCH987" 62-3523 KC-135R 22ARW 08.58z "VALOR21" 84-0126 C-21A 76AS...............for circuits 10.58z "HOWLER21" __-____/LN F-15E 48FW).............ILS approach 10.58z "HOWLER22" __-____/LN F-15E 48FW)
Departures 13.10z "BLUE52" 87-0123 15.25z "VVPS216" 168437
Lakenheath The transatlantic NOTAM got delayed another 24 hours.....what a surprise!!
F-15s were quite busy this morning plus a few sorties in the afternoon.
We will see what tomorrow brings. Thursday can be rather hit-and-miss, some are good and some are pathetic.

If it's any consolation, it was a crap day down South.
Hope you have a better day tomorrow!

Thursday 22nd March
Even more of a non-day.
Mildenhall The RC-135 and E-6 both flew missions.
Departure 08.38z "RCH987" 62-3523
Lakenheath The 493FS (F-15C/D) and 494FS (F-15E) were quite busy today, but the star was...
Arrival 08.50z "REDHAWK01" 85-0106 F-15C 123FS/Oregon ANG........should have been two of them, but the other "broke" at Leeuwarden.
The visiting F-15 is one of the 12 at Leeuwarden AB, Netherlands participating in Frisian Flag 2018. I needed only 4 of the 12 and this was one of those. It is parked on Alpha ramp (a very long walk down "the field") and is night-stopping.
Fingers crossed for 16.00 tomorrow, as I must go home then.

Friday 23rd March 2018
Finally they arrived today......otherwise of note were just 10 of the 13 F-15Es arriving back from Andravida.........see aviationforall.proboards.com/thread/10253/ln-15s-greece
Mildenhall Arrival 16.10z "BLUE12" 83-0082 305AMW
Departure 10.40z "RCH159" 92-3291
Lakenheath The Oregon ANG F-15C is still here.
Arrivals 15.54z "RETRO61" 12-1020 F-15SA ) 15.54z "RETRO62" 12-1022 F-15SA ).......delivery to Royal Saudi AF. 15.55z "RETRO63" 12-1023 F-15SA ) 15.55z "RETRO64" 12-1054 F-15SA )
Left after the Saudis' arrival and had a reasonable run back, bearing in mind the rush "hour" traffic.
Nine for the trip, of which seven were real quality.
