3 May. This was our final day in Sydney, but with a late evening flight ahead of us, we had a final family meal at Maroubra Beach, but caught Macron’s A330 F-RARF on climbout from runway 16R as he headed to New Caledonia. Others caught that day:
B787 ZK-NZC, VH-VKF
A330 B6112 China Southern
Glex VH-FGJ, Gulf 5 B8132
Then just before boarding our China Airlines A350 B18915, Toll’s B737 ZK-JTQ arrived. A most comfortable overnight flight of 8 hours 55 mins brought us into Taipei.
4 May. After an overnight flight, the option of a shower and comfortable lounge won out over squatting by a window, so the limited log for our transit at Taipei was:
Air Hong Kong A300 B-LDM, Nokscoot B777 HS-XBC, Vanilla A320 JA12VA, Peach A320 JA818P (again!), Air Macau A320 B-MCB, Korean B737 HL8247, Eastar B737 HL8035, Air Asia A320 9M-AHQ, Philippines Air Asia A320 RP-C8978, Tiger A320 B50011, Philippines A/L A321s RP-C9901 / 9925, Vietnam A321 VN-A397,

Rossiya A319 VP-BBT went into the book to complete my trip log.
For a trip that was basically visiting family, a total haul of 310, mostly new frames was great. I cleared the Jetstar A320s, the Virgin Australia 737s, Qantas A330s and now just need 1 Qantas B737 (that was away for servicing). My wife and I were both impressed by China Airlines. It’s just a shame that their business lounges at Taipei do not have exterior views, or I would have made many more.
