Hi all
I have bought a Linx tablet which has USB ports, the idea being that I can take it with me on spotting trips. What I need next is an ASDS-B receiver of sorts that I can connect to the tablet via the USB port. Ebay is awash with cheap dongle type receivers, some less than a tenner, with USB connections but are they any good? Has anyone on here used a dongle? Just looking for some advice, thanks to anyone who replies.

Effects did something along these lines with a cheap dongle, and it works very well, im sure he posted something on here about how to achieve it

Thanks Jeff, I remember now effects posting about it a couple of years ago. Might well give one a go, after all, if it's not very good, it's just a tenner down the pan.

So, is all you need to get going just the dongle, aerial and USB lead?
