Just a quick one, does anybody know if they have changed the layout this year or is it still park up then pay to go through entrance ?

Hi Jeff
I don't know the answer, but please don't go to White Waltham to look for it, because it is at Booker (Wycombe Air Park)

I believe it is. I have paid in advance for 2 days & parking is free for people going in with ticket. I am going Thursday and Friday. Will be wearing New Zealand baseball cap as usual, hope to see people about.

Well went today. The last time I went it was at Sywell a couple of years back. The arrivals were non stop of which there were hundreds. I found it really disappointing at Booker and left by 1pm bored! A few entered the book, but not a great amount.
Shall not be rushing back

I have to agree with Mick. I went Friday as it was forecast to be the best weather day. The event just has the feel of an event in decline.
On a positive note the organisers seem to have resolved the problems of entry & exit to the car park, I got in and out with minimal fuss and the stewarding was friendly and helpful.
The static display was the major let down, there were a few nice exhibits but the majority was made up of repeat visitors from last year and an array of uninspiring used aircraft for sale. A large portion of the day seemed to revolve around a few R44 Helicopters picking up and dropping buckets of water, is this the best they can come up with ?
Visiting aircraft arrived steadily up to about 1pm but there was very little to excite and even though the weather was perfect there was probably only about half the number that would visit Sywell in the last few years it was there.
I know this is mainly a trade event but it looked like they are having a problem attracting both exhibitors and visitors with significant unoccupied spaces in the static area and generally not a lot of people around.
I did not buy my ticket in advance due to the uncertain weather so parted with £22 on the day. Did it offer value for money? Like Mick I doubt I will be rushing back.

The only winners were the Organisors ( probably the AYling family ) who ran the poor organised show last year. I did not attend this year due to the Ayling family response to my emails. THIS SHOW IS IN GOING IN THE A I L I N G direction !!!!!! Les

I also went yesterday, found the whole experience totally boring,it's certainly the worst one I've ever been to and like others I spoke to @ the event,I will think long & hard before going next year.
