Had intended to find a decent vantage point for at least some of the RAF100 flypast. But unbeknown to me, She Who Must Be Obeyed had arranged for us to have lunch with friends at a pub near Guildford! At least the BBMF passed low over the pub, made two Spitfires and a Hurricane. Other frames were CS-TOM 330 TAP inbound LHR this morning (it returned in the evening) and biz OTT F-HSAS F7X and N549FX BD300. OE-ICK easyJet Europe was a scrape. Wow, what an obedient husband you are!

Well I made 49 from the Flypast, but not having been to Coningsby since it had Phantoms and never having been to Valley, the Typhoons and Hawk T.2s accounted for 28 of those.

Two for me today.
A search with binoculars found me "SVF641" Gulfstream 650 102005 and, later, "FNY5020" Xingu 77 came over the house inbound RIAT.
Was not pleased about the RIAT E-6 163918, as I have only seen 3 (out of 16) and I made this one back in March at Mildenhall.

It certainly was a great pot. It is becoming increasingly difficult for me to make one now (I need only 41 out of 222 active ones), so making both an Alaskan one and a Hickam one in the last week has been extremely satisfying.
Not bad, seeing as I had never seen a C-17 until 2010, when I restarted the hobby.
Cheers,
Bob

Have been entertaining friends from Lancashire since Thursday, but they left this morning and I managed to catch up with some recent deliveries - LHR departures HB-JCO Swiss (think I have to call this an A223 now), EZ-A020 738 Turkmenistan and EI-FPE CRJ900 SAS, plus easyJets G-EZRY 320 inbound BRS and G-UZHI 320N inbound LTN and TF-DTR 321N heading for CDG. F-HBEV 320 Air Corsica heading for STN was also a frame. OE-XAI AW139 also went by at low level.
But missed PT-MOB 763 LATAM on the LA9459 LHR-GRU, one of the two I need.

Made a couple of support aircraft today going into Fairford: "FNF273" Finnish AF CN295 CC-2 and "3SA" (that's what its box was showing on PP) Spanish AF CN295 T.21-12.
Both of these routed up over Bridport, Yeovilton and up TR1. The Finnish one routed well to the East - virtually over Devizes - so I was lucky to see it from the upstairs window.
