Took a holiday road trip with my wife over eight days from Shropshire to Bedfordshire / Cambridgeshire / Norfolk and Suffolk / Leicestershire.
The following fields were visited :-
LUTON, CAMBRIDGE, MILDENHALL, LAKENHEATH, RAF HONINGTON, IXWORTH, FLIXTON ( Norfolk & Suffolk Museum ), BECCLES, HARDWICK, TIBENHAM ( Gliding ), TIBENHAM ( Priory Farm ), OLD BUCKENHAM, NORWICH, NORWICH ( Museum ), NORTH DENES ( Heliport ), LUDHAM, NORTHREPPS, WEYBOURNE ( Museum ), FELTHORPE, FRAMLINGHAM, MONEWDEN, CROWFIELD, RATTLESDEN, WATTISHAM, MILDEN, HADLEIGH, ELMSETT, LOWESTOFT ( Heliport ), SEETHING and HUSBANDS BOSWORTH.
Nearly 600 aircraft logged at the fields.
Also there were lots of OTT's logged ( not counted yet ) including aircraft from airlines in the East, KLM, Lufthansa, Norwegian, aircraft from America, Military aircraft and Helicopters to the rigs.
1000 mile trip.
Now suntanned and the checking starts now.

If you have any queries for Mildenhall, Les, just post them up and I will try to answer them. Unfortunately, reports from Lakenheath are few and far between.

Bob Could not read off the four Ospreys seen from John's Field due to the sun on Monday 25th June 2018 at about 10.30am. Temperature was already in the high 20 degrees. Thanks for the offer of assistance. Les

Sorry, Les, that is the one thing I could not help you on. About the only thing I could tell you is that 08-0050/12-0064 were away at the time and that 11-0057/11-0058 flew in the afternoon.
Worth remembering for the future is that there are two Osprey pans round the corner that cannot be seen from John's Field/Pollards Lane crash gate. They can, however, been seen from the crash gate at the end of "SOG Row" and from Folly Road.
Cheers,
Bob
