Yes, I made SU-SMM too, plus LX-FLY EMB.545 and VP-BGG 738 Aeroflot outbound LHR on the SU2571.
Was let down by FR24 on another needed Aeroflot VP-BKZ 321 on the SU2579, was plotting it taxying, one second it was in the hold for 27L and the next it was 5 miles out, beyond where I can see them! Yet another needed Aeroflot, 321 VP-BKI is due out at 22.45 on the SU2575, will be watching out for it.

Also made Aeroflots VP-BGG and VP-BKI, but on their way into LHR. Plus newish BA machines ZBJJ and TTND. Huge gap filler D-AISI and SAS CRJ EI-FPW were the best of the rest.

Turned out to be a glorious spotting day with lots of trails too for a change, however my opportunities to look more or less limited to local flyers, so six will do.

Just the one for me today:

Didn't need anything else (RAF Voyager, RAF A400M, RAF Hercules, USAF CV-22B x2, USAF C-17A x2 & USAF C-5M)

Yes, I made 08-8202 also, unusually routing sufficiently south to be visible from here (Weybridge). Also a couple of recent deliveries on LHR departure, 9V-SKZ 380 Singapore and OH-LZU 321 Finnair.
9H-AGU 330 operating for Thomas Cook was a scrape, saw it in Sydney in 1997 as 9M-MKZ on my one and only trip down under.

Jerry,
All of the C-17s, C-5s, etc on their usual MERLY > REDFA routing should be visible from Weybridge - providing the blue sky plays ball.
There are a couple of FC members in Addlestone and Woking who regularly report their sightings. The Addlestone one reported sighting 08-8202 and, also, 08-8196 over 3 hours later.
Cheers,
Bob

I agree if they go direct MERLY-REDFA they should be visible, cloud/trails willing. However I thought that most took a more northerly route over Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk (not familiar with all the reporting points) which would not be in range from here.

The SWANY > MAM > NAVPI routing has been virtually discontinued. Someone finally woke up to the fact that they were going the long way round and could save fuel (read dollars) by a more direct routing. The new routing was agreed with the UK authorities and implemented a few months ago.
Unfortunately they have not yet done the same for Westbound traffic.
