I believe that the "Orange" is now in the museum at Beaulieu.

Cracking shots Les, many thanks for taking the time to post them. Just goes to show how long Sonic the Hedgehog has been around!

Ha ha nice. I did see that orange at balloon meets or air shows somewhere I’m sure! I’ll add some pics sometime, after I’ve done my Bristol ones...

Phil (ZZ ) I thought the "orange" would bring a smile. I have hundreds of balloon photos but most are pre digital age. So I just scanned some of the special shapes. I first went to Ashton Court in 1985 and a number of occasions since. Les

Cheers Les
I think I first went to Ashton court as a 6 year old in 1981. I think I’ve been every year since, except one year (maybe two) when the weather was too bad. I’ll have to check. I suspect that there are some on here who have been to all 40!

Not quite Dave, I broke down en route in 1981 so my first was 1982. I missed two since, one when my wife was in hospital and 2001 when there was no flying because of foot and mouth. So it was 35 for me! On the subject of Sonic, I last saw it at Albuquerque 2015 when it was flyable, now American registered. It was owned by Malcolm White in Ireland but he kept it in the states as he goes to ABQ every year. Don't know if that has changed in the last few years.

I have watched most if not all. In the early days I would go to Ashton Court, but these days I watch from anywhere near to whichever way they are going. I saw stationary traffic on the Cumberland Basin this year at 6am. No parking cost,no queue,no crowds, and usually home in 10 mins.
