Went and viewed the Saturday morning lift. Didn't enter the site but instead watched from up by Heaven's Gate. Lovely views, if a bit distant, over the whole site but close enough to get a good log. The following were noted flying:
BIFP BOTD BTTW BUWU BVHV BWPP BXAL BXUU BXXG BXZI BYHU BYNN BZGV BZKU BZTS BZYR CBEJ CBIM CBNI CBOW CBWK CBZJ CCOP CCXF CDHY CDYL CDZO CECS CEEK CEJZ CEOS CFEB CFEK CFXP CGFY CGPD CHAU CHXN CIDH CIDU CIHG CILO CIRL CIUA CIUK CJHV CJIG CJIH CJIL CJKI CJOI CJVH CJWY CJYM CJYZ CKIT CKTG CKUN CKVI CKXG CKYX CLBH CSEE DAAY ENGR ERRI GAGE GBBT HBEE HOTM HPCB HTEK IFOS ITVM JEMS JULU KAYI KSKS LBUK MFLY NUNI OAAM OASI ODRT OFAA OINT OJBM OJMS OKCP OOEY OTEA OWLL OWLY PERC PHSE PURP PYRO RCOH RDEN RECL SATL SCFC SERV SFSL SMIL SUAU SUED TIBF TSWI UINZ UKUK UPOI UWEB VITL WESS WINZ WJAC
D-OFVD EC-LTS EC-MSG EC-MYK LY-OMS
The following inflated after the lift but didn't fly:
CJJC FWJR MOJI Plus the 2 Bertie Bassets.
I logged a few mispoles, not surprising considering how quickly they all lifted. Anybody help with these:
CITV CKEB OCGB
Thanks for reading. Any corrections, amendments, omissions gratefully received.

I’ll have a look at your queries when I’ve sorted my list and photos. Noted around 130-135 I think, in the morning launch. The organisers are claiming a UK record with 170 but there definitely weren’t that many!
Lots of inflations throughout the day, then about 80 or so in the evening launch. Didn’t stay for the night glow.
Fantastic day!

Also went mourning lift hectic, lots of balloons tethered during the day evening launch far less hectic night glow around thirty balloons maybe to large as the dramatic effect seemed to be lost took place down the Long walk viewing site 2 only went half way so those at the end not easily seen Never been to Bristol so not able to compare they said it is the largest balloon meet in UK Fisherman's Field was really full 0f balloons

Any corrections, amendments, omissions gratefully received. Wilbur Well, there were more than I thought! I’ve still got a few to check, but it’s looking like about 150-152 flyers for the Saturday morning, plus 4 that inflated but only tethered during the main launch. Will add the list when finalised.t Mick, that makes it bigger than Bristol. Their biggest launch was 120 this year, and that was their biggest for a long time I think. Wilbur, CITV - possibly CKTV which flew CKEB ? OCGB - possibly GBGB which flew You also have CJVZ which is a glider - probably should be CJYZ which flew

Thanks zz, your help is much appreciated. I actually had CJYZ, just another senior moment when typing my post. Have now corrected it. Look forward to your full list in due course. I knew I'd missed a few, from where I was viewing they were disappearing behind the trees fairly quickly.
From your comments I just wish I'd had time to stay all day, but sadly family commitments intervened/threatened.
Wilbur.

No problem at alll! Your list has helped me confirm a couple and also has a few that I didn’t log. The morning launch seems to have been- EDIT- 152 flying plus 4 that inflated only, in the launch fields.

CKEB was probably CKEG OCGB was almost certainly OCGD which I was crewing for. You were crewing for OCGD on Saturday morning? If so, I’ll add it to the list. Likewise, CKEG- wasn’t sure if it flew Saturday morning but saw it in the evening. Can you confirm CCLO? cheers Phil

To be honest I was crewing so it isn't easy to remember what you saw and when as there were three good launches. I was only able to take a limited amount of photos but I'll look through Saturday am and see if CKEG was there but if you saw it at pm then it probably doesn't matter I guess. Incidentally it was gone 10 by the time I finally retrieved the balloon, it was a nightmare..

Thanks- don’t need CCLO or CKEG but interested to see how many were in the launch. Adding OCGD takes it up to 152 + 4 inflated only.
I think G-CCLO was there- right colour (same as BXZI) but my photo only confirms G-C. The other 2 lists I’ve seen don’t mention it! Cheers

I’ll post the evening launch list tomorrow. With the morning launch, the daytime tethering and the different ones that appeared on the evening launch- CIWW, CKEG, CKXA, SATI, that means there were 180 different balloons seen in the day.
Possibly something else in the glow- I didnt stay for that.

A friend who also crewed has a list with all the tethers and flyers and it comes to 190. Neither of us can think of any that we may have missed but its possible that some tethers may have been made when nobody was about I suppose. Apparently all tethers filled in landing cards which explains how the organisers came to their total of balloons "flown". I'm not going to put a list on as I was crewing so I will list what I needed. I could put my friends list on later if anyone wants it. I arrived on Thursday lunchtime so my list and my pictures are from Thursday pm launch when my wife took some shots while I was crewing, Friday am tethers, Friday pm launch, only about 30 at most, Friday night glow, Saturday am launch where my wife had the camera again, midday tethers and pm launch when my pilot didn't fly. You’ve missed G-CKWH Ronald McDonald off your list.
Is G-DROO a typo? Used to be a Zenair according to G-INFO site. (G-IONT obviously G-OINT)

Can’t believe I missed the Orange CDXW again- that’s Ragley, Bristol and Longleat that’s it’s inflated/flown but on a different day to when I’ve been there!
Still made 22 new shapes this year (plus 2 re-registered - Orangina and Action man)
