A beautiful flying day yesterday saw my son & I head down in the Cessna to Compton Abbas then up to Kemble for the Cotswold Airport revival. The latter saw a welcome outside exposure of the college’s VFW614 together with one of their Bo 105s (80+55), a Navy Merlin (ZH828/CU HMS Westminster) and a number of other static items. There were two 80% scale Spitfires, G-ENAA wearing EN130 (the original real Spit with that serial having collided with BS148 at North Weald back in January 1943) & G-CEFC wearing RB142 (the original Spit having been destroyed by debris from the V1 it had just shot down over Newhaven back in July 1944 sadly with the loss of the pilot George McKinlay who deserves to be remembered as he most likely saved a number of lives by his actions that day). The north side revealed recently arrived Turkmenistan B717 EZ-A106 which I had previously photographed, ironically from another Cessna, at Marana, Arizona back in 2014 where, together with EZ-A107, it was being prepared for re-delivery. Just a few from the trip of things that caught my lens – Compton Abbas IMG_4912 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4905 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4907 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4914 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4915 by dave tompkins, on Flickr Kemble IMG_4978 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4982 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4989 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4987 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4996 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4957 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4974 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_4966a by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_5014 by dave tompkins, on Flickr and the EZ- at Marana in 2014 IMG_8081a by dave tompkins, on Flickr

Noted. Think we must have departed before you arrived. BALF, Dr400. Graham Shame, could have said hello to your bear. No wildlife in the Cessna unless you count my son and he was flying it!
