Helitech Tradeshow Moves To Farnborough in 2019 by Gordon Gilbert - September 10, 2018, 11:41 AM
After years of alternating between convention centers in London and Amsterdam, organizers of the Helitech International trade show have selected TAG Farnborough International Airport to replace London as the new venue for odd-numbered years, starting next year. The exact date is being finalized, but the 2019 event will take place at Farnborough in a newly built exhibition hall that debuted in July at the Farnborough Airshow.
According to organizers, the purpose-built, 134,548-sq-ft building will provide exhibitors with enhanced facilities to showcase their products. The move follows feedback from both exhibitors and visitors who wanted an airfield location that would facilitate technology displays and flying demonstrations.
British Helicopter Association CEO Tim Fauchon hailed the move to Farnborough Airport. “We’re looking forward to welcoming the very best of the rotorcraft industry to our new UK home next year, where they will find facilities better suited to our industry requirements,” he said.
This year, Helitech will present its tradeshow at the RAI Amsterdam Exhibition and Convention Center from October 16 to 18. For subsequent shows, Farnborough is now scheduled to be the venue in odd-numbered years and mainland Europe will be the site for even-numbered years.

Weather certainly didn't help today but with none of the big manufacturers attending, it felt a bit of a waste of time really.
