Graham
What I find interesting is the Thunderbirds website which currently has 'July 13-14: Open' for 2019. Now far be it from me to speculate but given Yeoviltons new found international status with a C17 being a regular.......Hmmmmm!
Given that the Reds are off on their 9 week tour of north America after RIAT, I wonder if there might be a bit of reciprocation for Yeovilton.

Great to see a Harrier grace the cloudy skies of Yeovilton once again. I made a point of thanking the aircrew after and suggested they come over every year. I think they appreciated my comments. Also good to see the F35 do more than a couple of flybys - let's hope the hover is a taste of things to come when they have more time and aircraft to work up a full PDA display. The Planes TV link for the Harrier display was placed on Facebook and I hope the link below works - it starts from about 5 minutes in: www.facebook.com/planestv/videos/2354916764831006/

Super to see one in action again. What on earth were our Government thinking when they sold ours to Poundland or wherever they went?

They were thinking we needed the Tornado more than the Harrier as it was a more versatile and capable aircraft. Unfortunately we couldn't afford to keep both, the why's and wherefores are endless but thats the crux of it. Unfortunately again, some people, and I'm not having a pop at the post above or anyone else on here, still cannot accept that and probably never will but that's the way it is. Cheers Mark

Surely the fact that it could carry a larger variety of weaponry than the Harrier does, by definition, make it versatile?
