This came up on a non aviation local Farnborough Facebook group I'm on, the general consensus of reply's seems to be that the prop has been squared off to make her sit level and the strange fuselage could be something to do with ejection seats. The reg doesn't seem right although it could be a Damage repair reg (name of these escapes me at the moment, BDRM maybe), anyone any ideas of its former reg Untitled by Eelmoor Farnborough, on Flickr Untitled by Eelmoor Farnborough, on Flickr

This serial is an FAA maintenance serial, issued after the airframe has ended its flying life, but can still be used for ground training/maintenance uses.
Looking more closely at the photo, the serial would appear to actually be A2115.
Unfortunately, www.ukserials.com/ only goes back as far as A2300...

A2115 was the RN instructional airframe serial allocated to a Seafire F15. Its original Navy serial is unknown but it was at RNAS Arbroath in 1950 carrying the code J as in the photo. By 1951 it had moved to Farnborough and was noted there "semi derelict with 13 short vertical blades on top of the fuselage", the purpose of which was not known.
