Morning all
We are very fortunate here on AFA to have lots of great photographers who regularly post on the forum for which we are always grateful. Most, but not all use the services of a third party hosting site such as Flickr. We have a few members who take some great shots, but as they don't use a hosting site, are unable to upload them here to AFA so they send them to one of the admin team who use Flickr to upload for them, which is fine.
When that person on the team saves that photo to his Flickr account, and then reposts it to AFA, it will inevitably show the photo as posted by the admin member, rather than by the person who actually took the shot. There appears to be no way around this. I use Flickr under the name of "brownieboy" so consequently, if I post a photo to AFA on behalf of another member, it will say "brownieboy" at the bottom of the photo and not "graham". This has lead to some members to think that their photos have been pirated by someone else, most likely because they don't see their name beneath the photo, or a name that they associate with AFA.
We ALWAYS give credit to the original photographer as is only right so please folks, just because the photo you ask us to post here gets uploaded with a name you don't necessarily recognise, please don't think that "someone" from outside of AFA has stolen your photo as that is most definitely not the case. Thank you

to add to this, the photo will also appear on the admin members photostream in Flikr, as Graham says, the only way to get the photo onto AFA is via Flickr or similar so the photo needs to be hosted on these sites as well

Quite right Jeff, and anyone on Flickr, unless you have blocked them, or the photo is set up as "private" and can only be seen by whomever you want to see it, will regularly see the latest photos on your own photostream and as such, if they don't recognise whose photostream it actually is, may well believe that the photo has been pirated and claimed as that person's own work.
