NEVER HEARD OF THIS REVIEW UNTIL COMING ACROSS A NOTE ON IT IN 'THE MILITARY AIRFIELDS OF BRITAIN - SOUTHERN ENGLAND - KENT, HAMPSHIRE, SURREY & SUSSEX' BY KEN DELVE. THE BOOK HAS THE YEAR AS 1954 BUT I SUSPECT IT IS A MISTAKE, MOST NOTES ON LINE HAVE IT AS 1953 300+ ON THE GROUND AND JUST UNDER 650 IN THE AIR, NOT AN EXACT QUANTITY, BUT I GUESS GETTING THAT QUANTITY TOGETHER AGAIN IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. www.forces.net/news/raf/our-archive-raf-coronation-review-1953 THE VIDEO ON THIS ONE IS WELL WORTH A WATCH www.hampshireairfields.co.uk/nos10.htmlREGARDS JOHN

Wonderful find, John.
To think that this was just the RAF, as the RN had already had their equivalent.
Sadly, this can never happen again as the total on display/flying that day is more than the current aviation strength of the entire UK armed forces.
