Up to the next series, the oldest 321 is TC-ONS c/n 364, built in 93 as the prototype and flown by Airbus till 98 when it was delivered to Onur air, who still operate it

Then, of course, down to the A319. I know it won't be BA, maybe Lufthansa? How about the wide-bodies, what's the oldest A330 / 340 still earning it's keep?

Only missing out on the A330. remembering a Cathay example being exhibited at a 1990s Farnborough show and checking. It turned out to be F-WWKU, which was c/n 71 and became VR-HLA.

It may be a scary thought, but Airbus' 'double decker' A380 is probably 10 years old or over. What is the oldest of these now earning it's keep. I note that the example at Farnborough for the latter part of the 2018 show (9H-MIP) was an ex Singapore example, so at least one airline is now selling off their oldest frames.

Well m'lud, according to Planebase A380 F-WWOW c/n 1 is still active as prototype and demonstrator, delivered 27/4/05 but as far as revenue earning is concerned, it is 9H- MIP ex 9V-SKC c/n 6 delivered 11/3/08 closely followed by A6-EDA c/n 11 delivered 25/7/08.

I don't think they are actually selling them off, they are being returned to the lessor, they have earnt their money for the airline and leasing company, ($1.7m a month) and on return off lease they are picked up a brand new one..... Exactly the same as leasing a car

Just noted in Airliner World ZS_GAS, A 320 msn 76 is operating for Fly One, 33 years old. Seem to remember msn 29 was with Jordan Aviation recently. I always keep an eye open for these early models. ZS_GAS has certainly had a few operators, often wonder about the level of maintenance carried out on these older frames.

This now has me wondering about the original Airbus model, the A300. What is the oldest one of these still earning it's keep? And also the A310 that came after?

I saw the A310 as Wardair Canada's C-FWDX, but not in it's military guise. The only Singapore A300 I saw was the one at Farnborough 1980 which was to become 9V-STA c/n 117 and flew with test reg F-WZER.

Mention of the A300.There was one in Belgium, i think in a TEA scheme i remember seeing, which was a very early model. Air France used an early model into LHR regularly, last letter of registration was C. Some years ago at Amsterdam there was a very rough looking A300 operating for a Turkish airline, which taxied out and then promptly returned. Returned from Lanzorote, 1987, in a 300.

Your Air France A300 would be either F-BVGC or F-GBEC, with F-BVGC being the older one. In 1980 I went to Paris on F-BVGG and returned on F-BVGI.

Yes, F-BVGC. Just realised the A300 first flight just over 50 years ago, 28/10/72. Looking back, also flew on a Cyprus Airways A310, 1994, 5B-DAS, in my notes i wrote nearly everyone at the rear of the aircraft smoked cigarettes non stop.
