I'm sure others will have better photos. A bit earlier or later and we would have had some blue sky but the dark clouds scudded in just as the formation approached my chosen site at Popham airfield before their turn over Micheldever. As yesterday, two of the special marked aircraft were tech so had to make do with just one special marks and two normal squadron colour schemes. So same 3 aircraft as yesterday - ZD716/DH, ZA587/055 & ZD744/092. IMG_5249 by dave tompkins, on Flickr IMG_5250 by dave tompkins, on Flickr

Great shots, Dave. Incidentally, it was ZA542/035 yesterday but ZA587/055 today. Bob Oops, quite right Bob. Glad they changed it as 587 was a long standing gap. First Tonka I've made since Lossie 2010.

587 was a massive gap filler for me. The only one from that block (ZA540-ZA614) that I wanted to see.
I decided to watch the flypast from Patchway and it was incredibly busy - a big turnout all the way from Cribbs Causeway to Patchway with people everywhere.
For me it was a case of goodbye old friend and paying my last respects to probably the best aircraft the RAF ever had in my generation. I well remember the prototypes at Farnborough in the 70's and various diamond 9 or 16 formations over Buckingham Palace in the early 80's. I was lucky to work with both pilots and ground crew at both RAF Ali Al Salem (GR1/4) and Prince Sultan airbase (F3). Happy days!

Hi Guys,
Wish I’d made the effort now.... Needed 2 of today’s three ship!!
BBC news tonight carries a good piece on today’s trip, all except for the reporter who was riding in the back... All went so well until the plank threw-up into a sick bag... Wouldn’t mind but they were flying straight and level...

Hi Russ,
Code 117 was ZD996....which was at the Boscombe Down show in 1992 (then coded "I" of 2 Sqdn).
