A beautiful start to the month here in Wiltshire, and for anyone interested, there's just 21 days until the nights start drawing in again..... Aircraft wise, the month is also off to a good start with Bulgarian Air Charter A320 LZ-LAC passing to my north inbound BRS

A good day out- Stansted, Duxford, Mildenhall, Lakenheath, Stansted again and Fairoaks.
A quick chat with Bob at Mildenhall, lots of Daks seen and several USAF made!
Wanted to do Fairford too but ran out of time.
On the 1st June, on the way back from the Lakes, I made a quick visit to Manchester, mainly to see the stored 737Maxs. So lots of miles done this month already!

I went to Duxford yesterday and made 54, even though I had previously visited the museum. The 6 C130 and 6 V22 made an amazing sight, and the Spitfire duo display was superb. Obviously the stars were the C47/DC3/LI2 etc old ladies, and the weather played ball for the most part.
Today I caught newish AA Dreamliner N841AN on approach to LHR, and Air Baltic A220 YL-AAQ on departure from LGW, followed later by Norwegian 787s CKWT and CKWU also departing LGW that went over the Thames just a minute or two apart. Apache ZJ229 also liked the Thames. Final catch so far was Biggin visitor C130 94-7320.

Afternoon Chaps. Been out and about this week mainly to do with Dak’s over Normandy... Started last Tuesday (4th) up to Duxford. Lots of members have already loaded details so won’t repeat the detail. Suffice to say it was a great turnout from all the Dak owners and operators. It was a great shame that only 24 showed up but this was way and beyond the most I had ever seen in one place in all my spotting years... It was also sad to see LN-WND return on one engine, then shut the other one down whilst it was turning off the runway - Just hope its not too bad an issue for them. Fantastic day none the less. Following day myself and Viv (Linda) and Malc (Wardair Malc) ventured across the Channel to visit the Cub gathering at Saint André de L’ Eure which is about 10-12 miles SE of Evreux. The organisers had, like the Dak meet, arranged for large number of Cub’s (73) to gather and participate in the 75th Anniversary events... Well unfortunately the weather intervened and virtually ruined the entire event. We arrived around 9am (6th) with high expectations only to be greeted with 10 visitors... There was a French TV crew filming so going airside was out of the question, but after a great deal of photos, walking behind hangers and generally seeking out every conceivable viewing point we were able to make the following log. F-AYZA - ZM-3 - 330036 Cub J-3 L-4H G-BPUR - J 52 - 379994 Cub J-3 L-65 G-BDOL - 7 - 454630 Cub J-3 L-4J OY-EFI Auster AOP.5 LN-MAV - 43 J - 45-4417 Cub L-4J LN-RAP - 480287 Cub J-3 F-AYAY - 236375 Cub G-FINT - 3583 - D 44 Cub G-BCXJ - 480752 Cub G-BRHP - 3-1923 Aeronca F-BCPK - 13147 - G 72 Cub J-3 F-AZTA - BVA - Cessna L-19E Bird Dog G-TPWX - Gomhouria Mk.6 Other GA in the CASA hangar were; F-GZSA Robin DR.400 F-HBRM Diamond Katana F-GSBE Robin DR.400 F-GLKR Robin DR.400 F-PMER Jodel D.112 F-PHLS Jodel D.112 So, as you can imagine, we were pretty disappointed. However, instead of going onto Caen, we found out, via some of the pilots, that the airport there had been sealed off because of President Trump’s movements. We therefore decided to retrace our tracks and drop into Rouen (Boos) Airport. May need some help here, but we logged the following. F-GMXR Robin DR.400 F-BXRN Robin DR.400 F-GASV Ce172 F-GEHX Ce177 F-BRJX Rallye F-HPIX BN-2 Islander G-GSYL PA28RT F-BXIN Ce172 F-HOGY Ce172 F-GNNB Robin HR.200 F-JAPI N816JA Ce560 XLS N395EU Bonanza (did a touch and go....) G-CFPJ Sportscruiser F-BVVB PA-28 F-HNCE EC-135 SAMU There was a second BN-2 inside one of the hangars which we thought was F-HSOH, but I can’t find any trace of this one. Finally we stopped at the airfield at Dieppe, running true to form, there wasn’t a single aircraft visible!!! So overall, it was a very disappointing couple of days. The following day they were forecasting 90mph winds so the remaining Cub’s et-al were all planning to run for cover... Other than the disappointment, it was a great couple of days... Cheers. Bill

Have been laid up for a while with food poisoning, including a couple of days in hospital, but slowly returning to normal. Cloud cover has meant very limited OTT opportunities (N615UP 748F UPS was an exception) but the EY25/26 AUH-LHR-AUH has been very kind to me, filling many gaps, in the past 10 days have made A6-BLL/R/V/X 789 and A6-BMF 787X, just need A6-BLW to fleet the 789s.
Also made SP-LNM E.190 LOT this evening, departing 3 hours late on the LO280.

Once again the EY26 has been kind to me, A6-BLW my last Etihad 789 has just gone overhead (22.12).
Of course, they have at least 2 more on order (A6-BLZ/BNA) so will need to look out for these in due course.
