VDOT, Dot is short for "Dorothy" so something to do with the Wizard of Oz?. This could also tie in with VELJ ( Elton John?)who had a famous album called "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".

Full names now released in work blurb
Aircraft 1: G-VLUX, ‘Red Velvet’.
Currently at Toulouse in an area known as the ‘flightline’, undergoing final systems testing and rigorous 'ready to fly' assessment and we plan it to get airborne at the end of this week.
We expect to take delivery of Red Velvet in August, and after a busy entry into service (EIS) programme she’ll start flying our passengers later in September.
Aircraft 2: G-VPOP, ‘Mamma Mia’.
Mamma Mia was the first of our A350s to take to the skies on her Airbus test flight last month and is now in the paint shop at Toulouse receiving her Virgin Atlantic livery in our unique Andaro paint and will roll out later this week.
Aircraft 3: G-VPRD, ‘Rain Bow’.
Following a very similar path to G-VLUX. Rain Bow is on the flightline undergoing final testing a release and we expect the first flight sometime next week, then it’s off to the paint hangar.
Aircraft 4: G-VJAM, ‘Queen of Hearts’.
Currently in the cabin installation hangar. This aircraft is having our lovely new seats and loft area installed today before our inspectors carry out our initial inspection and function tests.
Aircraft 5: G-VDOT, ‘Ruby Slipper’.
G-VDOT is a little unusual as this aircraft has already flown as it is an Airbus test aircraft. We will share more details later in the year but the aircraft is in the middle of a re-work programme in Toulouse currently having its systems re-built to match our specification.
Aircraft 6: G-VRNB, ‘Purple Rain’.
Some of its component parts are in the early stages of manufacture. At the end of the summer we will start to inspect the sections of fuselage in Hamburg and St. Nazaire in North West France.
Aircraft 7: G-VTEA, ‘Rosie Lee’.
This aircraft is following the path of Purple Rain but about 8 weeks behind it so we anticipate this aircraft entering final assembly plant in Toulouse around the end of the year.
Aircraft 8: G-VBOB, ‘Soul Rebel’.
This aircraft is planned to be our first aircraft in the leisure configuration. There are many people across the business where this is their reality today, making sure it’s perfect for our needs and operations.
Aircraft 9: G-VLIB, ‘Lady Emmeline’.
While developing the leisure configuration Airbus often create elements of the cabin in their Digital Mock Up (DMU). So some of our specialist will have seen this aircraft in a virtual world as they develop its layout and features.
Aircraft 10: G-VWHY, ‘Delilah’.
Very much a ‘paper’ aircraft at the moment while our specification and definition is being developed.
Aircraft 11: G-VNVR, ‘Wendy Darling’.
In reality most parts of the aircraft are managed and created in a computer system these days so very little paper is used so it may be better to say that this is a ‘paperless’ aircraft right now.
Aircraft 12: G-VELJ, ‘Benny Jet’.
Last but not least this aircraft will follow the same path as our other A350-1000’s with a delivery pencilled for late in 2021. By this time our inspection team will have watch the 15-minute test movie on the IFE over 8,000 times.

London Pride was also a beer by Fullers(, Smith & Turner). It still is. I enjoyed some today. VTEA could also be beer related, TEA is a beer by Hogs Back Brewery of Tongham, Surrey. Nicknamed 'Tongham Tea'.

Thx Dave, there are currently 3 fully painted at TLS, VPOP VLUX and VPRD, VLUX is penciled to be the first delivered with a tentative delivery date to LHR of the 14th Aug. We have shipped the ballast AKEs via truck to TLS this week in preparation for the delivery flight and these will then be scattered through the network to allow positioning flights as and when needed

The first A350-1000, G-VLUX, (Red Velvet) starts its Airbus delivery process on Monday, this means the aircraft will undergo various technical inspections and tests by VAA before the aircraft finally becomes ours! Following this G-VLUX will position to the Gatwick hangar where she will undergo an extensive entry-into-service programme which includes; Minor modifications, the application of the new flying icon, emergency equipment installation, and lots of software loading including the brand new innovative Inflight Entertainment. There is also final systems testing, such as connectivity and moodlighting to make sure it is just right. She will take to the air on a data link flight to ensure she is fully connected to all our systems and operational teams back on the ground. Lastly, she will be utilised to enable our flight crews to finalise their A350 training and to allow all our operational teams and service providers to get familiar with the aircraft in the two weeks prior to entering into commercial service from LHR to JFK on the 10th September.
