A lovely event. Lots of happy people and good looking aircraft...albeit not too many 'new' ones.
Balfybear was sat on a cushion so could watch everything. Also....BALF won an award...attended the first AB fly in 40 years ago and was second to arrive (just) for the 40th fly in. G-AROY was the other 40th veteran...she also won a prize.

Yes, I really enjoyed my visit yesterday. I was hoping the Travelair racer might have been outside for a photo rather than hidden away. It appears to only fly on rare occasions. Turweston was a good choice of location as the nightmare Journey round the M25 to North Weald always put me off in the past.

Agree...would have been nice to see a couple of the older Turweston residents outside, sparkling in the sun. Also agree re North Weald...pig to drive to and not much less of a pig to fly to!

Hi Graham
I use a Canon EOS 80D with Canon 70-300mm & 18-135mm lens, then straighten and crop on the computer plus sharpen if required.

Great quality, Graham. I am a Nikon man...similar lenses...18-300 Sigma and 70-300 Nikon with a couple of others including a Sigma 150-500 when fully loaded! D300s and D500 bodies. Similar post processing.
Graham
Rather a lot of Grahams here!

Always interesting to hear what you guys use. I have two Canon 7D bodies, one is usually attached to a Canon 18-135mm which I find to be a great all round lens, the other, assuming I'm at something like RIAT or Yeovilton, usually has my Sigma 150-500mm attached, which despite the combined weight, has given me some great ground-to-air shots. I also have a Canon 70-300mm which is the largest I take on holiday with me and a Canon 10-18mm ultra wide angle which is just the ticket for confined spaces like most museums where there's very little room between exhibits
