Anybody else heading over to this one?
I'll be there all day Saturday, might pop over on Sunday if anything of interest is due.

I understand that airside access is not permitted for this event. Although it has the GVFWE name, it is not like the other GVFWE events of the past...it is merely a fly in with the airport continuing business as normal.
It is intended, afaik, that AV8 will open its doors to the public for the first time since its storm damage repair although tables need to be booked in advance.
I understand that people are welcome to visit and watch from the usual landside places, as has been the case when Av8 was fully operational.

Ryan STA nosed over on landing, led to believe both crew members escaped unscathed.

I think next year might be more like the event we all want and miss. This year was intended to be a low key affair to coincide with the reopening of AV8. With luck and a following wind...assuming there is an event next year...it should/ could be a good one.

Nb...the forecast wind put off a number of older, more fragile visitors today. It was always forecast to turn into a gusty, quite strong 90 degree cross. It was a tad testing to put it mildly...and as one of our Oaksey residents (the Ryan) discovered, was not to be taken lightly.
