I hadn't looked at my Flickr page for a while and when I went to it yesterday, I had been logged out and was required to sign in. I put my usual username and password in and nothing, although a message informed me that Flickr had now moved away from logging in via my Yahoo email address and password and that I needed to visit the "migration" page to set up a new logging on process.
I then spent half an hour going around in circles, there was no way fro me to sign in, yet Flickr insists I had already set up the new signing in process and that if I couldn't remember my details, then to all intents, I couldn't access my photos.
I looked on their help section which wasn't helpful, then took a look on their users' forum where it appears that many have the same issue as I do.
Has anyone here on AFA experienced this and if so, have you managed to get around it?

Flickr insists on telling me that I have already opted for the new signing in process but I know for sure that I haven't. So, it's asking me to sign in using a password ot whatever I need that I've never set up.

Just tried again, it insists I have set up log in via the new system so on that basis, I entered the email address I now use ( the only other one I have ever used since joining Flickr years ago, but it then tells me it doesn't recognise that email address.

I don't do Flickr Graham but have experienced similar password problems with Yahoo quite recently. The best and only advice I can offer is to sink a few pints of Ole Grumblebelly this evening and take a fresh look in the morning!

Afternoon Graham,
Are you Using Google Chrome ?
If yes, look in the top right hand corner underneath the red X, you should see three dots vertically arranged -->
. . .
left click once on these dots and a drop down menu appears, look down the menu, third from the bottom is "settings", click on this, a new chrome tab should appear, under "autofill", left click once on passwords. A list of websites, usernames and passwords should now appear, scroll down until you find flickr. Click on the icon that looks like an eye, next to the row of dots that represents your password. You will now see a smaller pop up, that lists the users for your PC (If more than one have been setup), click on whichever user you are, and you will be prompted for your PC's password (this is the password you use when the machine first starts up, or in the case of Windows 10, it maybe the pin number you use to first enter your PC, (Whichever way the machine has been set up). enter password, then click OK. Instead of a row of dots under password, your flickr password should now be revealed, next to your flickr user ID. Note this will only work if google chrome has saved the password in the firstplace (which nine times out of ten it should do)
Open a new tab (top of Google chrome, then click the + icon) and navigate to flickr as you would normally, when prompted for flickr user ID & password, enter the user ID and password that chrome has saved, flickr has no excuse now, failing that go to pub......
Best Regards
Adrian

Update - Flickr say they can't help me, they insist I have previously signed in using the new process, which I know I haven't as it doesn't recognise my email address which is the only other one I've ever used on Flickr for the ten years or so that I've saved my photos there.I have well over 18,000 photos stored there which I now can't access. Flickr's stock reply is that if you can't remember your sign in details, then you can't access your photos. I do have them all saved to an external hard drive fortunately so they are secure.
So, next step is to find a new place to store my photos whereby they can be shared on AFA. Who do you lads use please?
