I went today and have one query. There were about half a dozen with covers one of which was coded F2 which isn’t listed above. Can anyone help please

Hi Keith - This probably doesn't help much but neither of the entry lists for the National or Regional Competitions shows an F2 . E2 is listed as scheduled to fly in the Nationals Standard Class task today. The only glider shown on the overall entry lists with a competition number starting with F is an LS8 with number F1.

Don't write it off just yet as there are a number of gliders on Grahams' very useful list which are not listed as registered competitors (though some are clearly based non competition machines). Don't collect such things myself (only flown one once and was disappointed with the go-around performance) but young master Samuels and I will be down there tomorrow morning and will keep a look out for an F2 for you.

There are a few on the list that I didn't see and a number that aren't on the list which I will log below. Being on my own, it was difficult to log everything and I recall one that was covered all over from which I tried to read the code through the fabric on the tail. Also the code could have been FZ as my writing was a bit dodgy!

Whenever you arrive basically, just wait in the corner. There was a guy on his own before me so you shouldn't have to wait too long. I went out with two other guys that arrived after me and two more were waiting when we got back. Ask for Max.

I’d never doubt Dave’s guidance but I did the drive round the grid yesterday and F2 is definitely amongst the crowd. It’s reg was covered up but it’s definitely there...

According to Graham's first log at the top here, "21" is G-CJLZ and "774" is G-CLWA. No "S10" on Graham's list, closest I can see is "210" which is G-CKVT

Think I’ve worked out S10. It was in the big hangar (to the right of the cafe) and was in a open container. Could see ‘XGS’ on one of the wings so I think it’s G-BXGZ which is a based machine...

Just checked my own 'G-DASH' database on which I also record competition numbers on and 'S10' is G-BXGZ Stemme S 10V

If the glider noted as 'F2' was read off the cover, not off the fuselage, it is D-KJMH 'V2' Schempp-Hirth Ventus-2 c/n 25J/559 which today was in the 4th row from the front

Cheers for that. That would make a lot of sense as I didn’t have that German, it was one of the few from the original list that I didn’t get. Also, as I wrote above, there was definitely one that I took a code off the cover.
