The Battle of Britain flights Dakota had to make an emergency landing at Manchester due to an engine failure on Saturday. Crew and aircraft all safe. Strange thing is Bill and Jargon made a visit to the BoB hangar at Waddington the day before, come on guys, what did you touch 😁

Morning Chaps,
We did indeed visit the BoBMF hangar on Friday afternoon. She was sitting at the rear of the hangar with an engineer just smartening her up for the weekend, she looked in pristine condition... Hopefully it’s a minor issue and she’ll be back in the sky very shortly.

The port engine was on the far side from our view, but from an angled view from the front, curiously, photo's show that the port engine was of interest even if it was routine,
Sad to see the Dakota's had an issue, but the landing looks a credit to the pilot

Was there a cross-wind? The pilot seemed keen to keep the starboard undercarriage off the ground as long as possible.
