As we were driving home from the balloons & Old Sarum we have to pass Popham so as it was a lovely day we thought that there has to be some visitors and indeed there were:
G-CEOM Jabiru UL450 G-BSZV Cesna 150F (looks like it's in for some TLC from WAM) G-EDEL PA-32 Cherokee Six G-JACS PA-28 Cherokee 181 G-FLYC Comco-Ikarus C42 FB100 G-DAGN Comco-Ikarus C42 FB80 G-CEYY Eurostar EV97 G-MRED Christavia MK1 G-SIZZ Jabiru J400 G-OFBU Comco-Ikarus C42 FBUK G-CJBU Bristelle NG5 Speed Wing
Noted flying through the zone:
N85LB Cessna 340A
A marquis is being erected and one of the marshallers told us that the guy who is flying around the world in his Gyro (G-KTCH) is expected back @ Popham between 10.00-11.00 this coming Sunday (Sept 22nd) and that a lot of Gyro's are expected to welcome him home.Bearing in mind that the Solent Aviation Society are holding their annual fly in on this date which I find is usually a good one,the airfield could be very busy, hope the weather plays ball.
