Dropped in to catch the Wildcats and all four were outside lined up. Three Merlins outside too, 2 x Navy and one x Army for which I didn't get the reg. Pretty sure it was coded "A" if that helps.
Also, as you go down the side road towards the turning for the viewing area, by the other base entrance there was a Merlin minus tail parkd closed to the fence. It had "AV511" on the fuselage so if anyone can ID her, that would be great, thanks
Wildcats
ZZ388 ZZ394 ZZ395 ZZ398
Merlins ZH841 ZH857
A couple of Harriers were being shunted around on the far side but no chance for a shot or to ID them. Three Sea Kings parked fairly close to the perimeter as you approach the main entrance but no chance to stop there to read them off.

Merlin "A" is an RAF/RN airframe, serial ZJ117 AV511 is a mock-up used as an avionics test bed etc, and is looked after by the Flight Deck School Wildcat XX395 is actually ZZ395, although that could have been a typo Hope this helps

Nice photos from what used to be my local airfield. I lived near Culdrose for a few years in the late seventies and used to pass the base on the school bus on the old road that used to cut between the main airfield and the maintainance site. My last visit was a base tour in April 2010
