Sunday 6th October 2019
Today we had earmarked a touristy day so at 09.00 we were at the pier for our sailing to Alcatraz Island to visit the infamous prison and then onto Angel Island which is a national park.I managed to sit in the cell that Al Capone was imprisoned in and also spent a couple of minutes in a maximum solitary cell which was small and dark and was sure glad to get out off.Angel Island was a lovely national park which you could explore by bike or walking but we did ours by a small coach,we all had a great time.
Although today was not a spotting day we had taken, bins,a pole and of course FR24 on the phone and the following were noted overflying the area:

I don’t know if ST-12 is a spurious reg but it was still on charge at Beauvechain in April last year. Could have been struck off charge since of course

Hi. Just done an internet search for the Siai ST-12 and there are a couple of photos and videos of a California based Siai painted as ST-12 registration N26AE. The pilot seems to have his own web site as well. Hope that helps.

Yes, but N26AE is not the genuine ST-12 - just painted that way.

Thanks guys,I've had a look at a photo of N26AE and that's the machine we saw flying over Alcatraz although I do appreciate the fact that it's not the proper ST-12,it will do for me.
