hi, interesting read, a few years ago I used to have a subscription to the US magazine Air Classics, and they carried a fiction story called "The Colonel goes..." and it was told from the co-pilots view, flying under a ex USAF colonel and the scrapes he used to get into. One story they were due to return to California from Hawaii, and the colonel slipped their Learjet just below and behind the tail of a B.747,where the colonel said it was a virtual vacuum so the Learjet was sucked along by the B.747? they had to anticipate the 747's movements, but if he did it right he saved is employers money on fuel. I'm only a enthusiast so I don't know if this would happen, but the Airbus story reminded of it...
regards, dave...
