VH-OMS Chaika L-65 SeaBear amphibian has been a recent White Waltham arrival. Similar aircraft on the company website...http://www.seabearaircraft.com/gallery/ FR24 tracked it from Kaliningrad and touched down at Waltham at around 14:00 on Sunday 17th November 2019. It is just visible on their webcam (twin engined, on the grass) ... www.wlac.co.uk/west-london-aero-club/waltham-webcam-and-heathrow-weather/

Thanks again for the posting Andover I managed to divert into a chilly White Waltham with my other half yesterday morning at 11.15 just in time for the Chaika to start its engines, taxi past and take off about 11.20. It disappeared into the grey on what turned out to be it's final departure to Lyon where it arrived at 15.40 per it's tracker, It's had a two our flight this morning from 07.00 to Gap Tallard.
There were quite a lot of people outside the clubhouse to see it leaving, but only a few photographers on the car park side of the fence, so a very low key send off, trust he gets a much bigger reception when he makes it to Australia.
Regards
John

As I sit in Dubai looking at FR24, guess what is heading this way currently off Qatar!

As I sit in Dubai looking at FR24, guess what is heading this way currently off Qatar! Nice one Keith, I don't know if you saw it flying last time but if you didn't I hope you caught it this time as it overflew Dubai, not too hazy I hope. As at 10.25 it looks like it's flying in the direction of Karachi, Pakistan. Regards John

I went to White Waltham to see it but didn't see it fly. It passed well north of here.
