A Light aircraft has ditched into the Solent this afternoon, it's reported that the occupants were rescued OK..
I will not speculate on A/C type or Reg, but have a good idea on both, only to say that a " Parachute" was seen..

News reports show it as G-CTAM SR22 (no doubt as Christoff suspected) and the parachute carried by the type clearly worked.

it's reported that the occupants were rescued OK.. That, of course, is the main thing.

Thanks Christoff. I gather first prize is a night out in Devizes. Second prize was two nights! Wonder how the Cirrus stands re marine salvage laws?

First time I've seen an SR22 parachute in full bloom, big bugger ain't it, the solent breeze doing the trick in picture of the plane on the beach

Oi, you unbelievers, nothing wrong with Devizes.... I once went out with a girl from Devizes She had breasts of different sizes The left one was small And no good at all The other was big and won prizes.
