hi all
A burst of activity at Newquay this afternoon (14.50). ZP801 P-8 one overshoot and looks to be in the circuit for a second. 9H-ASB Global just landed and M-FRZN Challenger just departed.
ZM336 and ZM337 Embraers have just done overshoots at Culdrose and should pass to the South of Newquay shortly. F-HDMD Diamond 62 passed to the South earlier this morning.

Newquay is a strange airport, although it is only half hour down the road for me, i find it difficult to get decent photographs there, and as the majority of arrivals come over my house, i don't generally tend to bother going there, although having said that i must make the effort to go and get a photo of the RAF HS125 in the museum......
Cheers

Hi Adrian, I visited the Classic Air Force Museum at Newquay airport back around mid 2013 but there were rumours a couple of years later that it would close. Is the museum you speak of the same one, has it relocated from the hangar where the exhibits were stored at Newquay? Thanks

Hi Graham, Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been having a couple of non aviation days with the other half in Truro, and just got home... That's the Museum, with the hangars around the VC-10 and BAC1-11, not heard anything about it closing, in fact they went through a bit of an expansion in the last couple of years, the one's of the top of my head that have arrived since 2013, are :- ZH553 Tornado, ZA398 Tornado, XZ607 Lynx (Cabin only), and the 125 ZD704, this is the one that was written off in Kandahar in a hail storm, shipped back to Hawarden for repair which in the end was never completed... abpic.co.uk/pictures/operator/Cornwall%20Aviation%20Heritage%20CentreMaybe Cornwall01 can confirm these are all still in situ, as I say I havent been to Newquay for some time Cheers Adrian

Hi I actually live in Truro and haven’t visited Newquay for a couple of months. The Museum has about 25 aircraft and the four that you mentioned act as exhibits although they are owned by the Joint Aircraft Recovery Transport Squadron. The Museum has a website at www.cornwallaviationhc.co.uk. A quick plug as well for the recently published latest edition of the Wrecks and Relics book which has a full list of the aircraft at Newquay. Hope that helps. Ray
