Best Time to See over the next few days as its closest to Earth
Best times hour after Sunset Hour B4 Sunset need bino`s or telescope
Location is south of the (Big Dipper Saucepan Ursa Major) look at the 4 stars that make up the Pan not the Handle
The Bottom 2 Stars of the pan Phecda & Merak halfway between them look down to the Horizon Half way you`ll see a fuzzy patch that is the comet visible all night long
Hope this makes Sense

Thanks Tarnish. I did try last night, but not succesful. What is the best time of night to look for it and I'll try again when the weather allows. I had a great time watching Hale Bopp back in 1997. That one stuck out like a sore thumb. I'd like to see another one if possible.

Thanks Tarnish I managed to see it last night with your directions. A brightish centre surrounded with a green haze. Not easy to pick out though.

Early on the night of Friday, July 31, Comet NEOWISE will be passing close to where we see a pair of galaxies, as seen from our perspective. The celestial visitor is passing that night close by “Koi Fish” Galaxy (NGC 4559) and by the huge Needle Galaxy (NGC 4565).
