Hi all from a hot and sultry eastern France where I’ve come for a few days for the French National Champs which started yesterday and go on until the end of the week and are being held at the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Royal Saltworks.
No flying last night or tonight due to the heat and thunderstorms however this morning conditions were perfect.
Launching from the Saltworks were these fiesta balloons, all F-
GHHZ, GTTA, GVRC, GZFG, HAFM, HBDD, HBSG, HDBS, HEAJ, HEMA, HFFA, HHCM, HICA, HMAM (Fox SS), HVIT. There were a couple more which didn’t fly.
Then a good old fashioned mad dash south across the back roads to the town of Arbois to catch the competition balloons flying various tasks including pilot and judge declared goals and a failed attempt to land back at the Saltworks due to light winds.
35 balloons were booked to compete, 2 cancelled at the last minute and one never flew today so the list is as follows. All F- unless stated.
BUQY, GKMO, GTRC, GTVF, GVNP, HBFM, HCBF, HCYB, HDMX, HDUM, HEMD, HFCT, HFRO, HGAY, HGPJ, HIBU, HIEM, HIHM, HLDL, HNYO, HOMP, HPMB, HYDC, HYLA, HZZZ, PBEN,PIVR, G-CKPR, LX-BBN, LX-BLX, OK-1525 and OK-1356.
Will try and post some pics later.
