We shouldn’t be surprised I suppose. I still need about 18 as frames, so not too concerning.

I'm glad it's not just me, I find that I'm getting more picky. Some years ago I completely abandoned anything American less than bizjets & Airliners and, even then I won't go out of my way. Then there's Russian airliners. I can't remember the last time I saw one with an RA- registration rather than tax dodge favourite VP / VQ. Of course Easyjet have re-registered a load of their aircraft in Austria & Germanwings have also followed suit. I long for the days when, if you saw an aircraft with a D- registration, you knew it would have come from Germany.

Very interesting to see those Irish-Italian DC4 photos. My own earliest experience of the 'Irish-Italian' phenonenon was back in 1999 at Birmingham on the day of the last ever European cup winners final. Out of eight Alitalia / Eurofly aircraft noted that day, three were Italian registered, one of the MD80s, a B747 & MD11. Much more recently we have seen SAS 'go Irish' with some of their A320N aircraft.

Just had one go over the heading heading north to Newcastle 9H-LMH,as a side issue I note this morning that Skyliner quote that one of Scandinavian EI registered A320NEO's (EI-SIA) has been re-registered to SE-DYC,are they also going to re-register the lot?
