This is the Lightning thats been reported being transported to North Weald today. It was whole but in parts at Bruntingthorpe.
We have sold our spare ex-Saudi T.55 aircraft (ZF595) to a buyer in the UK. The cockpit section is currently being transported back and will be again reunited with the fuselage and put on static display.
We are delighted the aircraft will be restored by the new owner, and will give the UK public another Lightning airframe to enjoy.
Meanwhile, the extra space in our US hangar will enable us to progress further with the return to flight programme of Lightning422.
Many thanks to our US team, Bob Simms and Kevin Centanni for assisting with the cockpit move.
