Morning all, I'm sure some of us might be aware of this excellent and free website whereby you can with a couple of mouse clicks convert a long URL into a much shorter one. Some URL's, especially when linking to photographs can often have a hundred or more characters, and if you're not copying and pasting, one slip when typing makes that URL useless Here's the link, I use it a lot and it saves time and forum space www.tinyurl.comTo use it, highlight the regular URL you wish to make "tiny", in this example, it's the link CaptainBob provided for the Cayman register ...once highlighted, right click and select "copy". www.caacayman.com/portal/page?_pageid=3321,6647377&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL Now insert that long URL into the box that says "Enter a long URL to make tiny" by right clicking again and selecting "paste", then click on "Make Tiny URL". After a second or two, a new, much shorter URL will appear which will link to whatever it is you wish to link to, in this case, Bob's 84 character URL is reduced to a 26 character URL....... tinyurl.com/oql7y7wAll that's left to do now is to copy and paste the Tiny URL onto the page you wish to use it on. It doesn't take long to become familiar with the process and once you get the hang of it, the conversion can take just a few seconds.
