I remember being at Ostend many years ago when a B707 took off right in front of me by the fence, like in the video. Very noisy!!! I think the opposite end of the runway was in use that day.

He took a lot of runway to get off the deck though didn't he? Great video Bill, brings back some great memories, I believe I only ever flew in a 707 3-4 times.

My experiences in the B707 were as follows; July '73 G-APFO BEA Airtours Palma-Gatwick August '73 G-APFK BEA Airtours Gatwick-Heraklion August '73 G-APFI BEA Airtours Heraklion-Gatwick April '76 N18708 TWA Los Angeles to New York (JFK) May '76 N8732 TWA Heathrow to New York (JFK) All very nice and great memories... Bill, What a fantastic video of an iconic plane- thanks for posting same- seen lots of 707's but never flew on one- have flown on 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, and 777 but never on 707's- would have been an excellent experience. Happy Days Bob

My first trip to the States was a Caledonian 707 and I squeezed a 720 in too to the Paris air show, (Monarch)
