Great shots.Just cannot take to the A350, been on a couple of Finnairs, very quiet and sanitised way of flying. Quite like the 787, travelled on a Latam Chile example, noisier and a tad more lived in inside.

Hi Alfred, was never a lover of the 787, initially due looks then through serviceability! 'If it's a Boeing it again going' is a well used phase around the ramp. Personally I think the 350 is a good looking aircraft compared to the 777 which always looks a bit of a brute.

Like so many things it is just personal choice.I do not think the A350 looks good at all.The 787 has grown on me, although at first i thought it looked like a Comet! Am i right in thinking you work for Virgin?I recently saw an article where Virgin took on the Highland Express 747, apparently it was a very unreliable aircraft. I always wanted a flight on a Virgin A340-600, ah well not to be.

Yes I'm still at VS hanging on by a thread!!, the Highland Express 747 was indeed Virgins first aircraft, I also believe Branson had an interest in Highland express or was connected with the owner in some way, there's a story there somewhere. I've always found the Airbus aircraft give no trouble, the 330s for instance, don't have the trick factor of the 787 or the flashy 'dreamliner' tag never seem to go tech and are very strong, if a little short on legs, they will just plod on backwards and forwards across the Atlantic with out any fuss. The 340s were always the smoothest and were great cargo carriers to boot which is something the 747s never were in pax config.... The 350 is still young to the fleet but fingers crossed it will be reliable

While on the 350 subject, last week saw me somewhere on the aircraft I don't normally go, I was surprised at the size of the rear galley, in fact its bigger than my kitchen at home 😳 Generated by tools.sportscard.trade

Jeff, thats really interesting.A lad i went to school with became a pilot, Dan Air 727, a small A 320 airline i cannot remember the name of, only 3 aircraft i think and the Channel Express on the A 300.He loved the 727, but hated the A 320 with a vengence. It is nice to hear something the UK has a part in is a good steady product. Really hope all is well for you at Virgin.I lost my job in march but as i am now 65 it wasnt too much of a disaster.

Thanks Alfred, I don't think the airlines are out of the woods yet but the Vaccine is certainly a step in the right direction. I think the 320 was a totally different animal to the old school airliners, fly by wire, computers and other gizmos not seen before, I would imagine it was quite a big difference to the pilots used to the older types.

Indeed Dave, times seemed to have changed for Boeing, what with the Dreamliner and the MAX

Hi Jeff
Nice to see an aircraft galley again! I worked at AIM Aviation (Henshalls) in Byfleet for 28 years mostly building A320 galleys and later A330 galleys. We built some galleys for Virgin and even had a visit from Richard! Made redundant 3.5 years ago ,still working in Woking and now making aircraft service platforms and we have made equipment for Virgin. Strange after making galleys for A320/330 aircraft I now find myself making patforms for servicing these aircraft !
