Better than the thick pea soup fog as I passed this morning. Couldn’t see anything at all from the lay-by and the BA 747’s by the road were not exactly clear. Pity as I was hoping to see LY-NVZ, one for another day.

Hmm...it was pretty grotty early on. Has been like that quite often of late.
I think NVZ is parked over by Negus on 31/13...North Apron.

Thanks Graham, I did not go “in” but there is a pic on Flickr which if it has not moved since.... flic.kr/p/2keLZqrI was lucky to see the road let alone a plane 🤣 One for next time. My main target, the B-52 at Fairford, was clear along with a bonus U-2 departure as I got there. Bob

It has moved since that pic; over by Negus now.
Unfortunately, the airfield remains closed to the general public...and is unlikely to open again until 2021...quite when is anyone’s guess!
